First week of June and not much has changed since last year. I get to spend my week working with kids and organizing games during Vacation Bible School. Busy week but so worth it; a chance to change a kids life for eternity.
I remember those days, buying the VBS shirts, getting in your assigned crew, and attending stations throughout the day. It was something that, as a kid, you always looked forward too. The music, the games, the snacks, and most of all the competition between boys and girls...who can raise the most can goods and money.
We as adults can downplay the significance of this event..but in all reality this is like Nationwide Youth Roundup elementary style. These kids long for VBS like we long for NYR. They get this sense of "connection" during this week. Truth is, this week has a huge impact on these children and its our job to help make it a life changing week...
